As part of my ongoing personal creative works under the cinematic themes, I’ve re-conceptualized and designed alternative Best Picture nominees posters for the 93rd Academy Awards.

Part of the creative thinking process was to explore different ways of conveying a story on a canvas, using methods that I am familiar with and experimenting on techniques that I’ve learnt throughout my design journey. Inspiration also comes from years of studying the works of film poster designers, such as Neil Kellerhouse, Akino Stehrenberg, Greg Ruth, and the brilliant artists who worked on the covers of The Criterion Collection. In this series, I have also created an extra poster for Regina King’s feature film directorial debut - One Night In Miami - whose film is so well made that it deserves a complimentary shout out.
