Solve For Tomorrow is a global competition by Samsung which aims to support an active culture of problem-solving through STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. By encouraging teachers to mentor students in the progress of innovative solutions that address Singaporean issues, they hope to inspire needful inventions that lead to real-world impact. This was carried out through a 2-day workshop that equipped teachers with design thinking methods which can be applied to help students innovate.
For the event, I developed a toolkit that complimented the teaching aids provided by the organisers. What resulted is a compact 48-page workbook that came in handy for the participants as they went through the activities. Sleek graphics, playful typography, and striking colours lend distinct flavour that excites the design thinking process. Other paraphernalia such as postcards, stickers, and origami papers were included in between the pages, making it an interactive toolkit that eventually becomes a limited-edition keepsake.
