Despite the madness of being a dad to a one-year-old boy whilst dedicating my life to a full-time creative job, I clocked over 460 hours watching a total of 303 films in 2018. As a passion project, I wrote and designed Cinematic Report‬® – a 100-page personal book that charts 22 of my favourite films, consisting of short reviews, think pieces, and trivias. Six months in the making and as a headstrong statement that print is NOT dead, the book serves as a creative exercise beyond my daily grind.

Compiling a ‘best-of’ list is a formidable task no one should undertake unless the catalouger is a proclaimed listomaniac. To debate which movies reign supreme is also a counterproductive endeavor because everyone’s opinion differs and changes with each passing months as new movies were being released. It is the reason why Cinematic Report‬® is a balanced mixbag, comprising independent gems and action blockbusters. All facets of filmmaking, from screenplay to cinematography, were taken into consideration during the selection process.
