SPH iiNK Awards was an award show celebrating the best advertisements that have demonstrated excellent use of SPH’s media. Based on the theme of Imagination, a unique campaign was developed to convey that inventiveness, ingenuity and insights are at the heart of every successful creatives. A series of adverts were created to depict the attributes of the industry players in the form of unique personas –The Rebel (Creatives), The Thinker (Media) and The Dreamer (Client).
In parallel, participants must possessed these traits to attain success — the rebelliousness to think unconventionally, the shrewdness in strategic planning, and the farsightedness to dream big. The visuals were inspired by the internal thoughts of a creative person. The Rebel’s mind is depicted by a riotous burst of multi-coloured paint strokes. The Thinker’s mind is a kaleidoscopic feast of prisms and flares. The Dreamer takes the audience on a flight of fancy into an imaginative world of flora, fauna, and fantastical creatures. The call-for-entry ads and videos ran on SPH’s integrated platforms which include microsite, direct mailers and agency raids, culminating in a celebratory awards night at The St. Regis Singapore.
