The buy-and-sell model in Singapore has become increasingly competitive. In an age where information is easily accessible at our finger tips, The Straits Times Classifieds was in need of an urgent cosmetic facelift to boost its status as a competent content provider.
Aptly re-named as Marketplace, the new title paints a fresher image that caters to both loyalists and younger converts. For the initial pitch, I presented a makeover that spans across mastheads, editorial pages, the classifieds sections, and advertising spaces. Several options were presented, with focus on thematic content and visual-led layout akin to magazine pages.
